LODGING PROPERTY CAN BE DISCUSSED IN TERMS OF THREE RATING OR LEVEL OF SERVICE:

WORLD CLASS SERVICE: Hotels offering world class service target top business executives ,entertainment celebrities,high ranking political figures and wealthy clientele as their primary market.world class hotels provide upscale restaurants,lounges,concierge service and private meeting and dining facilities.world class hotels stress the personnel attention given to the guests and maintain a relatively high ratio of staff members to guests.

MID RANGE SERVICE: Hotels offering mid range service appeal to the largest segment of the travelling public.the level of service offered is modest but sufficient .the mid range service hotels does not try to provide elaborate services.guests likely to stay at a mid range hotel include business people ,individual travelers and families.

ECONOMY/LIMITED SERVICES/BUDGET HOTELS: Economy hotels are a growing segment of the hospitality industry.the emphasis as on provide clean,comfortable,in expensive rooms and meetings the most basic needs of guests, economy hotels appeal primarily to budget minded travelers who want rooms with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay but without the extras they do not really need or want to pay for.
These hotels provide services to public funds .in seeking out a more upscale clientele ,some (companies)hotels have dropped the "economy"label in favor of "limited services".
